Donation of 1100 Euros to the Tarxien Public Library (December 2008)

The Mayor of Tarxien, Confere Paul Farrugia CMLJ, who has always been very active in the Grand Priory, asked the assistance of the Order due to the official opening of a new public library in the locality of Tarxien, Malta. This public library will naturally offer a free service to all the inhabitants of the town of Tarxien.

The Council of Knights of the Grand Priory have thus fully endorsed such a plea and the Secretary – General of the Order, on behalf of the Saint Lazarus Foundation, delivered a donated of 1,100 Euros worth of books to the Local Council of Tarxien so that they would be used by the locality’s inhabitants in the newly opened public library.
