On Friday 18th March, the Chancellor of the Grand Priory, Dr. Massimo J Ellul, accompanied by his lady wife and representative of the De Rohan Commandery, were the guests of the Commandery of Westminster in their first annual spring dinner held at the beautiful Oriental Club, in Stratford Place, London. It was indeed a pleasant evening with knights and dames and postulants of the Order joining together from all over England and the Chancellor remarked that, since the Commandery of Westminister was effectively his mother Commandery, it was indeed a pleasure for him to convey fraternal greetings from all the seven Commanderies forming the Grand Priory of the Mediterranean to our brethren and dames in England.
On the 7th of April, a deputation from the Grand Priory of the Mediterranean, led by the Chancellor Dr. Massimo J Ellul was present for the investiture ceremony of the Grand Priory of England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands of the Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus. In this investiture, the Master General also raised Chevalier Stefan Hogan, the Commander of the La Vallette Commandery under the Grand Priory of the Mediterranean, to the rank of Knight of Grace of the Order. The investiture included a number of dignitaries and special guests from other chivalric bodies from the UK.
