New Officers of the Grand Priory of the Mediterranean (October 2006)
During the seventh Mediterranean investiture of the Order, the Grand Priory Council, with the blessing of the Knights in Council of the United Grand Priories of the Order, proclaimed two new officers who are now filling in the post of Marshal and Deputy Marshal Respectively.
The post of Marshal of the Grand Priory was, up to the seventh investiture, being held by Chevalier Miles Wilson KLJ. During the investiture, Confrere Robert Farrugia CLJ, who up to now had been officiating as Deputy Marshal of the Grand Priory, was proclaimed as promoted to the post of Marshal of the Grand Priory of the Mediterranean. Confrere Robert Farrugia CLJ joined the Order in the first year of its Malta operations and has constantly kept a record of diligence and voluntary work in aid of the Order.
The post of Deputy Marshal of the Grand Priory was unanimously given to Confrere William Acton OLJ. Confrere William Acton OLJ is very active in the Grand Priory and has already in the past performed his duties as acting Deputy Marshal for the Grand Priory.
The Gozo Cathedral October 2006 investiture also saw the appointment of the new Commander of the Commandery of Marseilles, France. Confrere Michel Bouillerand CLJ has assumed this demanding office with a pledge to take care of the Order’s growth in France.
