This was supposed to be a November 'mini-investiture'. The congregation
turned out to be 140 strong! A great success since it was the first time
that the Grand Priory of the Mediterranean organised two investitures in the
same year.
The Congregation included representation of members of the Hospitaller
Order of Saint Lazarus from Malta, Gozo, Italy, Tripoli, Ireland, Canada,
France, England and Wales.
After a big downpour of rain, and the whole of Valletta blocked for
Remembrance Day celebrations, the investiture had to start 20 minutes later
than programmed.
Officer members from the Allied Military & Hospitaller Order of Saint
Lazarus of Jerusalem present at the investiture, led by the Grand Chancellor
Dr. Freidrick Schubert GCLJ and by Dame Helen Meli Attard DGCLJ.
